Wild Caught Salmon Baked

Baked Salmon

So healthy!  And if there are any leftovers, use leftover salmon to make fresh salmon cakes.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb piece of wild caught fresh salmon
  • 1/3 cup of tamari soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. of EVOO
  • 1/2 tsp. of dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. of dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. of dried dill (optional)
  • 1 fresh lemon cut in wedges

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2. Place salmon in a glass container and add soy sauce, EVOO and garlic salt.
  • 3. Allow salmon to marinate for 30 minutes. I like to flip the salmon skin side up to marinate, then after 30 minutes flip over so skin side is down (if the salmon has skin on it).
  • 4. Sprinkle salmon with oregano, basil, parsley and dill.
  • 5. Place in preheated oven and bake 20 minutes.
  • 6. Check the center after 20 minutes to make sure the salmon is fully cooked, do not overcook.
  • 7. If your salmon filets are cut in pieces or if you choose to cut them before baking, then reduce time in oven to 15 minutes.
  • 8. Serve immediately and garnish with a fresh lemon wedge.
