Grilled Pork Chops with Marinade

French Onion Pork Chops

This is a great on the grill recipe.

This marinade can also be used on a whole pork tenderloin. Grill tenderloin for 20-30 minutes, depending on the thickness, rotating every 5 minutes, and allow to rest for 5 minutes before thinly slicing.

Ingredients

  • 6 Pork Loin Chops
  • 1 package of organic french onion soup or dip mix
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of tamari soy sauce or low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons of Honey

Instructions

  • 1. Mix extra virgin olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey and add 1 pack of french onion soup mix, in a large bowl.
  • 2. Whisk together.
  • 3. Put the pork chops in a large Ziploc bag.
  • 4. Pour the marinade over the pork chops.
  • 5. Seal and refrigerate for at least an hour, up to 3, before cooking.
  • 6. Pre-heat grill on Medium heat.
  • 7. Remove pork chops from marinade, and discard any unused marinade.
  • 8. Place the pork chops on the grill.
  • 9. After about 5 minutes, flip and cook an additional 5 minutes.
  • 10. Remove from grill and allow to sit for about 5 minutes on a cutting board before serving.
  • 11. Very thick cut pork chops may require 15-20 minutes on the grill.
  • 12. Be sure to flip them every 5 minutes, regardless of the thickness, so you don't overcook the outside and char or dry out the meat.
