One of my favorite healthy grocery stores makes these, but they are flash fried (deep fried).  I re-created it without the fried part.  I hope you enjoy this sweet and spicy treat as much as I do.  Sometimes I squeeze fresh lime juice on it right before eating.  YUM

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of brussel sprouts, organic frozen preferred
  • 2 Tablespoon's of Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons of Raw Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons of Sriracha Sauce (chili sauce)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • If you prefer your sprouts to have more sauce on them, cut them in half before adding the ingredients and roasting. This will help coat them with more of the sauce.

Instructions

  • 1. I really recommend using frozen brussel sprouts, so you can just add the oil, Sriracha, Honey and salt, and Roast in a 425 degree preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • 2. If you are using fresh brussel sprouts, you will first need to trim the stem and steam them.
  • 3. Place a vegetable steamer in a pot filled with one inch of boiling water. Steam brussel sprouts for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Then add oil, Sriracha, honey and salt to brussel sprouts. Roast at 425 for 20 minutes.
